If you’ve read our guide to Pyxium, as well as our post on why we exist, you may be asking yourself now, how does Pyxium actually work?
In this post we’ll run-through exactly what you can expect as both a user and an instructor on the Pyxium platform, so you can get started with confidence!
Our platform is currently a web-app that works equally well on desktop or mobile, so you can use it wherever you are.
Pyxium for learners
When you sign up as a learner on our platform, you’ll be able to enrol in our courses. All our courses are free, so as long as you have internet connection, you can make full use of our platform.
We’re working with instructors every day to create more content for you – if there’s no course you want to do, you can let us know what you’d like to learn and we’ll look into it.
Throughout our courses, you’ll answer questions. These questions are based on the content covered in our courses, and test your ability to recall what you’ve learned.
Each time you answer a question right, you earn pyxies.
You can then spend these pyxies however you like in our marketplace – we have a variety of products you can buy, and we’re adding to it all the time.
The more courses you take, the more you’ll learn, and the more pyxies you’ll earn!
Once you purchase something with your pyxies, we’ll send you details on how to redeem it. Once you’ve redeemed it, it’s yours. Simple!
Pyxium for instructors
As an instructor, we’ll work directly with you to convert your knowledge and expertise into a high quality learning resource.
We’ll share our course templates with you, that we’ve created based on the latest research into how people learn, and will collaborate with you on creating your course in line with these templates.
Once we’re all happy, we’ll upload the course to our platform – including an ‘About you’ page where you can share details about yourself – your thoughts, your bio, and any links you want to direct your learners towards.
And there’s pyxies.
For every question of yours a user answers right, you’ll also earn pyxies. This represents the value you’ve created by helping people learn. You can then use these pyxies in exactly the same way in our marketplace, ordering and redeeming whatever you like.
